In 2016 the Royal Deeside Speed Festival brought soapbox racing to Kincardine O’ Neil and it was arguably one of the highlights of the Event! We cannot wait for the silent racers to once again take to the track and thrill us all as they race down the driveway.

Entry Forms are now available for completion below – enter your Soapbox Team today!!

We are confident that the 2017 Derby is going to be bigger and better than 2016 – with a longer track and more entrants. There will be 2 slots allocated to the Derby – a lunchtime race and the finale of the day.

The Derby will be run on the very top part of the Castles Driveway. A section deemed too dangerous** for the hillclimb will present the perfect challenge for our daring derby(ers)…. A few chicanes (small hay bales) and death-defying jumps (kerb-height) will ensure that crowds will oooh and aaaah as the brave men (and women) in their (hopefully not flying) machines career (in control) down the 500m track.

Get your entry in NOW for the Soapbox Derby. Successful Teams will be sent a secure link to confirm their place on the grid.

The theme for this year will be “Vintage Racers”. There is no entry fee for the Soapbox – and each team will be given 1 free family pass (suitable for 2 adults and 2 children).

**not really

Prizes will be awarded for the best team fancy dress, overall winner and “spirit of the Derby” for the most interesting soapbox judged by our Soapbox MC – Steve Robertson.
