// The Event
The Royal Deeside Speed Festival will take place on 20 August 2017 at Kincardine Castle, an iconic Scottish castle in the Royal Deeside valley 20 miles to the west of Aberdeen. The event will be based around a speed hillclimb with a range of high quality trade stands and motoring attractions which complement the event. The Royal Deeside Speed Festival will follow the ethos of the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Cholmondeley Pageant of Power.
Our event team organised Alford SpeedFest '14 and '15 and the success meant that we had to locate a larger venue for 2016. In 2016 the event was supported by high end trade stands including McLaren, Tesla and Lotus. In addition the event also featured car manufacturers such as Honda, Land Rover and Mitsubishi. However this is not just a car centric event, amongst others, the Edinburgh Watch Company, Shirlaws Motorbikes and Deeside Drinks Emporium were in attendance - truly making it a day for all!
We have an established enthusiastic spectator base and the event is held to be a family day out with additional non-motoring attractions and a ‘local food market’ area.
We attracted over 8,000 spectators at our 2016 event and we aim to ensure that RDSF is the premier motoring and motorsport event in NE Scotland in 2017.
